Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj has released the UP PGT 2022 Student Waiting List for Post Graduate Teacher / Lecturer recruitment under Advertisement No. 02/2022. The waiting list has been published subject-wise for 18 subjects after completion of the written examination, interview, final selection result and institution allotment process.

Advertisement Correction: The present waiting-list update relates specifically to PGT Advertisement No. 02/2022. Advertisement No. 01/2022 relates to the separate TGT recruitment.

UPESSC conducted the written examination for 624 PGT Lecturer vacancies in 18 subjects on 09 and 10 May 2026. Candidates successful in the written examination were called for interview from 15 June to 27 June 2026. The final selection result was declared on 07 July 2026, followed by institution allotment.

The Commission has now issued a subject-wise waiting list / Pratiksha Suchi containing candidates beyond the number of vacancies in the original selection panel under the applicable provisions of the U.P. Secondary Education Services Selection Board Rules, 1998.

No. A candidate’s name appearing in the waiting list does not by itself guarantee appointment, institution allotment or joining.

A waiting-list candidate may be considered when an applicable vacancy becomes available because of circumstances such as:
- Non-joining of an originally selected candidate.
- Cancellation / non-fulfilment of eligibility of an originally selected candidate.
- Another vacancy becoming available within the operation of the applicable selection panel.
- Any other situation permitted under the recruitment rules and official directions.
Actual consideration must follow the Commission’s merit order, category, subject and applicable recruitment rules.
