The total age relaxation on the applicable grounds is governed by the limits prescribed in the Information Bulletin.

• General / Unreserved / General-EWS candidates require at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination.
• OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / PwBD / Third Gender candidates require at least 50% marks.
• Candidates pursuing the final year of their Master’s Degree or awaiting the qualifying examination result may appear provisionally, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed qualification within the required period.
• Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post-Graduation wherever available.

• Minimum Marks: 75% in aggregate or equivalent grade.
• Relaxation of 5% may apply to eligible reserved categories according to UGC rules.
• Candidates qualifying NET on the basis of a four-year Bachelor’s Degree can become eligible for JRF and Ph.D. admission.
• Such candidates are not eligible for appointment as Assistant Professor merely on the basis of the four-year Bachelor’s Degree NET route.
• Eligible final-year / final-semester four-year Bachelor’s candidates may also appear provisionally subject to the specified conditions.

• Each correct answer carries 2 marks.
• No negative marking for an incorrect response.
• No marks are awarded for unanswered / unattempted questions.

These are the minimum aggregate marks required to be considered under the result procedure. They are not the final subject-wise/category-wise qualifying cut off.

1. Candidates must appear in both Paper-I and Paper-II.
2. For candidates appearing on the basis of a Master’s Degree or equivalent, the number qualified for Assistant Professor eligibility is generally equal to 6% of candidates appearing in both papers, according to the prescribed UGC procedure.
3. Available qualifying slots are distributed across categories according to the Government of India reservation policy.
4. General / General-EWS candidates must secure at least 40% aggregate in both papers together to be considered.
5. Reserved-category candidates covered by the rule must secure at least 35% aggregate.
6. Subject-wise and category-wise qualifying cut offs are then derived.
7. JRF slots are separately allocated according to UGC rules and reservation policy.
8. For multi-shift subjects, the applicable NTA normalization / percentile procedure is used.

5. Enter your Application Number.
6. Enter the requested Password / Date of Birth according to the result portal.
7. Enter the security / CAPTCHA code.
8. Click Submit / Login.
9. Your UGC NET June 2026 scorecard will appear.
10. Check the subject, NTA score / marks, qualification category and result status carefully.
11. Download and save the scorecard.
12. Later download the e-Certificate / JRF Award Letter when issued, if applicable.
