NTA’s role primarily covers the entrance examination and declaration of the result / merit information. ICAR handles the subsequent counselling and admission process.

• Candidates are generally eligible for the Master’s subject compatible with their graduation discipline.
• For admission under the ICAR-AU system, candidates generally require a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries Science, Home Science / Community Science or another prescribed discipline.
• Relevant 4/5/6-year professional Bachelor’s programmes are accepted according to the subject-specific eligibility table.
• B.V.Sc. & A.H. candidates may have a 5 or 5½-year degree depending on the programme.
• Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree are generally not eligible under the ICAR-AU system except for specified courses / exceptions at certain ICAR Deemed Universities such as IARI and NDRI, subject to their eligibility conditions.
• Equivalence of a degree is decided by the admitting University.

• Candidates generally require a relevant Master’s Degree in the prescribed Agriculture / Allied Science discipline.
• The candidate’s Undergraduate and Postgraduate qualifications must satisfy the compatibility requirements for the selected doctoral subject.
• Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree are generally not eligible for Ph.D. admission through the ICAR-AU system except where a specific institutional exception is officially prescribed.
• The Information Bulletin also contains institution-specific conditions relating to degree duration, accreditation, marks / OGPA and subject background.
• Candidates must check the exact subject-wise qualification before counselling and admission.

• NTA displayed the provisional Answer Keys and recorded responses.
• Candidates were allowed to challenge answer-key questions online.
• Valid paid challenges are examined by Subject Experts.
• If a challenge is found correct, the Answer Key is revised and applied to the responses of all applicable candidates.
• The Answer Key finalised by the experts becomes the Final Answer Key.
• The result is prepared on the basis of the Final Answer Key.
• No individual candidate is separately informed whether his / her challenge was accepted.
• NTA then declares the score / result according to the prescribed ICAR admission criteria.

NTA’s challenge instructions required candidates to log in with their Application Number and Password, select the Question ID being challenged, upload supporting documents where required and successfully pay the processing fee.

1. Visit the official NTA ICAR examination portal.
2. Open the Latest News / Candidate Activity section.
3. After declaration, click the ICAR AIEEA PG 2026 Result or AICE-JRF/SRF Ph.D. 2026 Result link, as applicable.
4. The official NTA result / scorecard login will open.
5. Enter your Application Number.
6. Enter the Password / Date of Birth or other credential requested on the official result portal.
7. Enter the security CAPTCHA.
8. Click Login / Submit.
9. Your result / scorecard will appear on the screen.
10. Check your score, subject group, qualifying / rank details and other information carefully.
11. Download the result / scorecard.
12. Keep a copy ready for the ICAR counselling process.

• Download the Final Answer Key when NTA publishes it.
• Download your scorecard immediately after result declaration.
• Keep educational qualification certificates ready.
• Check ICAR’s counselling announcement after the result.
• Verify your programme-specific eligibility before filling counselling choices.
• Do not select a programme only on the basis of its name without checking degree compatibility.

• Do not claim the result is released until NTA officially activates the result.
• Do not use 07 June 2026 as the final application deadline; the deadline was extended to 10 June 2026.
• Do not use 09-10 June as the final correction period; the actual correction window was 12-14 June 2026 after the extension.
• Do not describe these examinations as recruitment for government posts.
• Do not assume every Bachelor’s Degree is eligible for every PG programme.
• Do not assume every Master’s Degree is eligible for every Ph.D. subject.
• Do not describe the answer key released on 16 August as the Final Answer Key; it was the Provisional Answer Key.
