The entrance-examination fee is separate from counselling, admission and training-institute charges.

• Minimum Age : 17 Years
• Maximum Age : No Common Maximum Age Limit
• The minimum-age condition applies to every category.
• The date of birth must be supported by the prescribed educational certificate.
• Category or reservation benefits do not remove the minimum-age requirement.

• Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary or Class 12 examination, or an equivalent recognized examination.
• Unreserved-category candidates require at least 50% marks in Class 12.
• Eligible reserved-category and differently abled candidates receive a relaxation of five percentage points and generally require at least 45% marks.
• Candidates appearing in the Class 12 examination in 2026 were permitted to apply provisionally.
• An appearing candidate can take admission only after passing Class 12 with the required percentage.
• Academic qualification must be completed and proved before final institute admission.

• A standalone Shastri, Polytechnic, ITI or another technical qualification does not automatically establish D.El.Ed eligibility.
• Candidates must possess a recognized Higher Secondary or Class 12 equivalent qualification.
• Candidates who completed a recognized 10+2 vocational programme may be eligible according to the official rules.
• Candidates who passed Intermediate after Madhyama or Fauquania may be considered if the qualification is recognized as equivalent.

• The entrance examination was conducted on multiple dates and in multiple shifts.
• Different question papers may have different difficulty levels.
• BSEB applies a normalization method to reduce any advantage or disadvantage caused by shift difficulty.

• Five percent horizontal reservation is provided for eligible differently abled candidates according to government rules.
