PwBD and Ex-Servicemen reservations are horizontal reservations and are shown separately in the detailed RBI vacancy table.

Note: RBI cutoffs are office-wise and category-wise. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen categories should check the complete official cutoff PDF for their applicable cutoff.

Candidates were required to satisfy the prescribed sectional standards as well as the applicable overall office/category cutoff for Preliminary Examination shortlisting.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• For SC / ST / PwBD candidates, pass class in the Bachelor’s Degree was acceptable subject to the reservation conditions in the notification.
• Knowledge of word processing on PC.
• Proficiency in the official / local language of the State or States falling under the RBI recruiting office applied for.

• Negative Marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer
• Candidates had to qualify in each test separately.

Negative marking of 1/4 mark applies for each incorrect objective answer in the Main Examination also.

2. Enter your Registration Number or Roll Number.
3. Enter your Password or Date of Birth in the required format.
4. Enter the Captcha / verification code displayed on the login page.
5. Click on Login.
6. Your individual Preliminary Examination marksheet will appear.
7. Check the section-wise marks.
8. Check your total score.
9. Compare your marks with the applicable office/category cutoff.
10. Download or print the marksheet for future reference.

3. Find the RBI Recruiting Office for which you applied.
4. Locate your category column.
5. Check the applicable overall cutoff.
6. Also check the prescribed sectional cutoff.

• LPT is mandatory.
• No general exemption from the LPT is provided in the recruitment notification.
• Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and understand the applicable local language.
• A candidate who is not proficient in the prescribed official / local language may be disqualified.
• LPT centres are communicated by the RBI Office for which the candidate applied.

• Candidates must qualify each part of the Preliminary Examination separately.
• Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies, subject to availability and RBI’s decision, may be shortlisted from the Preliminary Examination for Main Examination.
• Approximately 2 times the number of vacancies, subject to availability, may be shortlisted from the Main Examination for the LPT / subsequent stage.
• Scores may be normalised using the prescribed method when an examination is conducted in multiple sessions.

• Download the official cutoff PDF.
• Check your office-wise and category-wise cutoff.
• Remember that the Main Examination was already conducted on 07 June 2026.
• Continue checking the RBI Results section for the Main Examination result.
• Main-qualified candidates should be ready for the mandatory Language Proficiency Test.
• Keep Graduation, category, identity and other eligibility documents ready.

• Do not call the Preliminary marksheet the final RBI Assistant result.
• Do not confuse the 25 May 2026 Prelims Result with the later marks / cutoff facility.
• Do not say the Preliminary Examination was conducted only on 11 April; it was held on 11, 13 and 30 April 2026.
• Do not ignore the special 30 April examination conducted for affected Manipur centres.
• Do not state that the application originally closed on 10 March; the original deadline was 08 March and it was subsequently extended to 10 March 2026.
• Do not forget that the application correction window was 14-15 March 2026.
• Do not state that RBI Assistant selection includes an interview.
• Do not use one national cutoff for every candidate; the cutoff is office-wise and category-wise.
• Do not confuse overall cutoff with sectional cutoff.
• Do not share your Registration Number, Password or DOB with unofficial websites.
